The International Shortage of Energy and Resources

There are severe coal and energy shortages across the globe, which could greatly affect business procedures and the availability of goods. In Europe and China, there have already been several industrial shutdowns and blackouts. If the demand spikes, the crisis will only worsen, resulting in the temporary closure of energy intensive businesses. Therefore, many countries, like the U.K., are looking for clean, healthy, and renewable alternatives to reduce pollution and energy output. A relatively new yet effective source of energy is gas; its reduced pollution by nearly 40 percent in several cities, and governments across the globe are attempting to discover unique methods that allow them to make the switch (from coal to gas). Any country wanting to use gas as a resource must diversify the natural gas supply, to ensure it can be naturally reproduced. However, if it’s difficult to do, there are alternatives, such as steel made with hydrogen or synthetic fuels made of hydrogen and biomass.

Due to the scarcity of coal and fossil fuels, a variety of natural resources are being used. Coal and fossil fuels play a major role in providing energy for industries, however, there is an extreme shortage, resulting in lower production rates. Additionally, the use of coal causes great environmental harm, for pollution affects the atmosphere and global temperature. Therefore, to increase productivity, and address the shortage of necessary resources, industries are switching to gas and other environmentally-friendly methods. By investing in clean and domestic energy, companies will not face the risk of government closure, since they can create high quality products, without consuming hefty amounts of energy. Additionally, the overall process regarding distribution of goods will be significantly more efficient, as companies can produce a larger supply, allowing them to expand total revenue. If firms begin choosing more reliable manufacturing techniques, they can reduce costs and remain open.
