Ukraine Prime Minister Claims Putin Wants to Destroy Ukraine

On the day earlier than the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba claims he is aware of what Vladimir Putin`s long-time period goal is. "His remaining aim is to ruin Ukraine. He's now no longer interested in just Ukraine.

Biden introduced his first round of sanctions on Moscow, with an aim of wounding huge monetary institutions, Russian sovereign debt, and Russian elites.

Asked through CNN to give an explanation for why the US should be involved with the conflict, Kuleba pointed to 3 key factors.

"First, in 1994 Ukraine deserted the third largest nuclear arsenal. We deserted it for safety promises specifically through the USA. We had been promised that if any country assaults us, the USA might be amongst nations who could be supporting us."

"Second, what's going on in Ukraine isn't only about Ukraine. President Putin compromises the Euro-Atlantic order. If the West fails in Ukraine, the subsequent goal of Putin could be one of the NATO contributors on its Eastern flank."

"Third, if Putin succeeds in Ukraine, different nations the world over who want to change the rules, will see that that is possible, that the West is incapable of protecting what it stands for."

Concluding his clarification as to why the United States involvement within Ukraine is appropriate, Kuleba said: "Americans have to be interested in retaining the world order because the future of this order is being determined now in Ukraine."
