15 Year Old Teen Kills 4 and Injures 8 at Oxford High School, Michigan
On Wednesday, officials identified a teenage suspect as 15-year-old Ethan Cranby in a mass shooting at Oxford High School.
Crumbley had previously been flagged by managers for "classroom behavior that worried them." He was called in to talk to school officials on Monday and Tuesday. Then, on the morning of the shooting, his parents were taken to school for a face-to-face meeting about their son's actions, Bushar said. He didn't say what the actions were, and police weren't notified of the potential problem prior to the tragic event.
Oakland District Attorney Karen McDonald charged Cranby as an adult, with one case of terrorism, four cases of first-class murders, seven cases assaults. She said additional charges could be added later.
In Cranby's indictment, Oakland County Sheriff Tim Willis told Judge Nancy Carniac that he searched the boy's house and found two separate videos on Ethan's cell phone the night before the incident. He talked about the shooting and killing of students at Oxford High School the next day.
He said he found a diary in Ethan's backpack that "explains his desire to destroy the school, including the killing of students." Checking social media accounts revealed that he had access to firearms and was practicing with the Sig Sauer pistol, Willis added.
Bushar, police are currently investigating a new hoax threat from copycat shooting.
